Introducing the Lotus Exige V6

350 BHP Lotus Exige V6 Supercar at Experience Megastore.

There are no frills to the Lotus lightweight cars of the last 20 years. From the moment the lightweight aluminium chassis’ed Elise hit the roads drivers and journalists knew a real game changer had come to stay. A car so designed around the driver and the drivers driving experience that it was just a little to real for many. While not particularly difficult to live with or drive, the Elise series was not for the faint of heart because every corner and movement reminded the driver they were in a car designed around performance, not driving comfort. In fact, we have an Elise 111r on our fleet for sports car laps.

It wasn’t long before Lotus decided to go that little bit further and make a car more focussed for the track, enter the Exige. Originally powered by the VHPD variant of the Elise engine (Rover K Series) the Exige’s continued to evolve into supercharged Toyota power plants.

Our most recent Lotus Exige is one of the very latest V6 versions in metallic British racing green with a respectable top speed of 170mph from its 345 BHP 3.5litre V6 DOHC. And boy-o-boy does this combination of power with exquisitely set up suspension and weigh distribution deliver a driving experience. So yes, 0-60 in 3.7 seconds is faster than even our Lamborghini Gallardos. But the real attraction is the handling and feedback characteristics that you simply won’t believe, feeling every exhilarating moment behind the wheel and every undulation of the road.
